Decorated in a charmingly rustic style with hints here and there of the Algarve's nautical past, the O Marinheiro Restaurant, at Sesmarias in Albufeira, was founded by Monika and Joaquim Coelho over a decade ago and since then has enjoyed an excellent reputation throughout the region.

The menu comprises a delicious selection of national and international dishes; all prepared using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and includes a children's selection for our younger guests.

Our friendly multilingual staff invite you to begin your evening with a drink at our well-stocked bar whilst you browse our menu or make your selection from our specialities of the day.

Our "garrafeira" is richly supplied with many good Portuguese wines and Joaquim will be more than happy to assist you in chosing the most appropriate to accompany your meal. The restaurant also contains a salad bar.

Adjacent to the principal dining area of the restaurant there is a delightful shady garden terrace, an air-conditioned winter-garden and a playground for the children.
